Destiny City Church

I was just reading about the Lawrence Taylor ordeal a couple of days ago and it is really quite sad. There is a lot to be sad about with this story. I found myself shaking my head at the thought of all that happened. But there really is much to glean from the story. Most of it is about how we shouldn't act, but it in the end it really exposes how much we (our world) need the saving grace of Jesus Christ, and why we need to be a light in this dark world.

Feeling stuck in an area in your life? Maybe in your relationship with God, with your wife, with your family? Or maybe your work feels drab and boring. How do we get out of the common and ho-hum in our life? I believe that one, if not the biggest, way to take areas in your life from ordinary to extraordinary is to have a vision. Proverbs 29:18 says "where there is no vision, the people perish." If we take this principle from proverbs and look at our lives, if we have something perishing then examine it and see if you have a vision for it. The lifeblood of vision is hope. Hope takes vision and puts it into action. Hope gives us the endurance to see the vision out.

This blog is a general blog talking about some of the things that the Lord has been teaching me lately. Simple yet profound truths that have really been changing my relationship with the Lord.  Lately I have been finding myself growing in the Lord as a job and through doing things for Him that I have been forgetting the most important thing, my relationship with Him. 

It doesn't take a genius to know we are in the middle of a crisis not just in the United States but around the world. It seems very few places have gone untouched by this current global crisis. What does it mean to Christians?

Isaiah 40:31

"But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint."

Have you ever wondered what it means to "wait on the Lord?" Well this blog looks at this and tries to gain a little insight on what it means to "wait on the Lord." We need to be in a spot where we are constantly waiting on the Lord and letting Him renew our strength.

Have you ever wondered if God has an opinion of children? How well would you agree with Him? Our culture is increasingly intolerant of children. From abortion on demand, to accepted rebellion in teens, we are inundated with contempt and dread towards the youngest members in our society.

Destiny City Church is a church that is very saturated with Living Free and living under these principles of freedom, but how do we translate this into transforming our worship into that of freedom worship? How do we get past all of the fear, insecurity and religious pride that seems to creep in so easily in our worship. How do we enter into truly passionate and on fire worship to our Father?
